New York Fashion Week

My first exposure to fashion came as a design student of the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid. I was passionate about the structure of shoes so I decided to pursue a degree in footwear design. I learned all of the rudimentary principles to design and product development, however, the cameras caught my attention. I became fascinated with the science behind securing media coverage and promoting brands so I decided to switch my career focus and trade my patterns for pitches. Ever since, I have been hooked with the production and public relations that goes into such a huge fashion event as New York Fashion Week.

February 2015 saw me participate as a production volunteer during fashion week’s last season as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center. The following season, when the shows transitioned to the Skylight venues, I was invited back by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), LDJ Productions and IMG where I have been returning since as a lead production assistant.
