Photo: A Day at MOMA

Culture does the soul plenty good, especially when it’s an experience you’ve been yearning for your entire life. MOMA has always been one of those places that has been so accessible that visiting it becomes impossible. After a lifetime of visiting and traveling to New York for work, I was finally able to pay homage to the house that made my impressionist heart skip a beat.

I’ve been to a variety of galleries across the world, from the Louvre to the Museum of Anthropology in D.F. but along with Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, MOMA has had a special place in my heart since I was a child. In school when we would be tasked to come dressed or research our favorite heroes from history, my go-to was always Vincent. I know his life forwards and backwards and contrary to popular belief, I don’t think he was mad but rather he was a hopeless romantic whose passion was limitless. To say the least, Starry Night left stars in my eyes.
